It is a volcanic island of lagoons and palm-fringed beaches with coral reefs surrounding most of the coastline. Mauritius is a wonderful destination that provides a distinctive fusion of scenic beauty, cultural diversity, accommodation, and activities. Note: Rates are subject to availability at the time of booking and subject to change. Kids below 2 years are free of charge. Kids aged 3–12 years sharing with adults pay 50% of the adult accommodation rate; kids in their own room pay 80%. Above 12 years are considered adults and the full adult rate applies. Arrive at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. Our representative will meet and greet you on arrival and transfer you privately to your hotel. Check in, settle in, and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
After breakfast, drive to Port Louis for a tour of the capital including the historic Citadel Fort and surrounding areas. View the Champ de Mars racecourse, one of the oldest in the southern hemisphere. Drive through the city and absorb the different cultures living side by side. Proceed to Le Caudan Waterfront, 170 shops on the harbour. Visit the Apravasi Ghat Museum and the Kuan Fu Tea Factory before returning to the hotel.
After breakfast, head south to visit Grand Bassin, the Sacred Lake, along with the Lord Shiva temples and the striking 108ft Lord Shiva Statue. Drive through Plaine Champagne and reach the Valley of Colors to see the 23-coloured earth, formed millions of years ago from the ashes of the Bassin Blanc volcano. Optional zip line and quad biking available at additional cost. Continue to Floreal for souvenir and diamond shopping, visit the Model Ship Factory, and stop at Trou Aux Cerfs volcanic crater viewpoint. Drive through the scenic residential town of Curepipe.
A free day with no scheduled activities. Relax on the beach, take a dip in the hotel pool, or arrange optional water sports at your own cost. Optional excursion to Ile aux Cerfs Island available, speak to your guide for details.
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport for your return flight to Nairobi. Our representative will assist with departure formalities.
