Ubud and its surroundings offer a grand introduction into the colourful temple ceremonies and ornate architecture so integral to life on the island. Some of the most famous and beautiful temples in and around Ubud include Tirta Empul water temple, Goa Gajah "elephant cave", and Pura Taman Saraswati, which is surrounded by serene lotus ponds. Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali. Your English-speaking driver will meet you on arrival and transfer you to your hotel. Check in, rest, and enjoy your first evening in Bali at leisure. Welcome to the Island of the Gods.
After breakfast, head to Nusa Dua Beach for a morning of water sports, options include parasailing, jet ski, banana boat, and snorkelling (at individual cost unless specified). In the afternoon, join a southern Bali coastal tour visiting the Uluwatu Clifftop Temple perched 70 metres above the Indian Ocean, followed by the famous Kecak fire dance at sunset. Dinner on own account. Overnight at your hotel.
After breakfast, drive north to Kintamani to see the spectacular active Mount Batur volcano and its ancient caldera lake. Continue to Ubud, Bali's cultural capital. Visit the Tirta Empul holy water temple, the Goa Gajah elephant cave, and Pura Taman Saraswati, set amidst serene lotus ponds. Explore the Ubud art market and browse traditional galleries and crafts. Return to your hotel after sunset.
After breakfast, transfer to Sanur harbour and take a speedboat to Nusa Penida, Bali's most dramatic island neighbour. Visit Kelingking Beach (the famous T-Rex cliff viewpoint), Angel's Billabong natural infinity pool, Broken Beach, and Crystal Bay for snorkelling with manta rays (seasonal). Return to Bali by speedboat in the late afternoon. Overnight at your hotel.
After breakfast, drive north to the cool highland lake region of Bedugul. Visit the beautiful Pura Ulun Danu Bratan water temple, which appears to float on Lake Bratan. Explore the Bali Botanical Gardens nearby. In the afternoon, head to Tanah Lot, Bali's most iconic sea temple, perched on a rocky outcrop in the ocean. Watch the sun set behind the temple for one of Bali's most memorable scenes. Return to your hotel.
After breakfast, free time for any last-minute shopping or relaxing at the hotel pool. Transfer to Ngurah Rai International Airport for your departure flight at the scheduled time.
Arrive back home after your Bali adventure. Your Beliways Adventures driver will be waiting if any onward transfer has been arranged.
