7 Days Mt Kilimanjaro Marangu Route (Cocacola Route)
Tanzania
1 / 4

Kilimanjaro's only hut route, sleep in dormitory huts instead of tents.
The Marangu Route, also known as the "Coca-Cola Route," is the most popular and highest-traffic route on Kilimanjaro. It is the only non-camping route on the mountain, trekkers sleep in dormitory-style huts throughout, making it the preferred choice for climbers who are not comfortable sleeping in tents. Marangu is often mistakenly considered the easiest route, and because of this reputation it attracts many unprepared climbers. As a result, only around 35% of climbers on this route make it to Uhuru Peak. The route does, however, offer great scenery, dense rainforest, views of Mawenzi Peak, and the magnificent panorama from the summit. Seven days is recommended to allow proper acclimatisation.

- Great views of Mawenzi Peak and the rainforest on approach
