Your guide will collect you from your Nairobi hotel in a private 4×4 Land Cruiser and begin the drive southwest to the Maasai Mara, approximately 5–6 hours through the Great Rift Valley, with a stop at the escarpment viewpoint for spectacular photographs. Arrive at Mara Base Camp in time for a late afternoon game drive before dinner under the African sky. Overnight at Mara Base Camp on full board.
Dedicate the entire day to exploring the legendary Maasai Mara, one of the world's greatest wildlife habitats. Morning and afternoon game drives cover the vast savannah plains, searching for lion prides, cheetahs, leopards, and the great elephant herds. If your visit falls between July and October, you may witness the extraordinary spectacle of the Great Migration river crossing. Overnight at Mara Base Camp on full board.
Cross the Kenya-Tanzania border at Isebania and continue south through the rolling Tanzanian landscape to the legendary Serengeti National Park. Arrive at Angata Serengeti Camp in time for an evening game drive across the endless plains. The Serengeti ecosystem is continuous with the Maasai Mara and is home to the largest concentration of terrestrial mammals on earth. Overnight at Angata Serengeti Camp on full board.
A full day in the Serengeti to explore the world's most famous national park at leisure. Morning and afternoon game drives follow the wildlife across the endless plains. Lions, elephants, giraffes, wild dogs, and cheetahs share the ecosystem with countless antelope and zebra. In the Seronera Valley, year-round predator density is among the highest in Africa. After a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, drive north to Arusha for lunch before your afternoon flight to Zanzibar. Land at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport and transfer to Nungwi in the north of the island. Begin the morning with a guided tour of Zanzibar's UNESCO World Heritage-listed Stone Town, a living blend of Swahili, Arab, Indian, and European influences. Wander the maze of historic alleyways, visit the Palace Museum, and browse the lively Darajani spice market. Return to Nungwi for an afternoon of swimming, snorkelling over coral reefs, and relaxation on the pristine beach. Optional sunset dhow cruise available. Overnight at Nungwi Dreams on full board.
Enjoy a final breakfast at the beachfront resort before your guide transfers you to Zanzibar International Airport for your international departure or onward connection.
