Depart Entebbe or Kampala early morning and drive southwest through Uganda's rolling hills and crater lakes toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours with stops along the way. Check in at your lodge in the afternoon and enjoy your first views of the park. Evening at leisure.
Rise early for a morning game drive on the Kasenyi plains, the park's prime lion territory. Search for Uganda kob, topi, warthog, elephant, and buffalo across the open savanna. After lunch, embark on an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. The 40km waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward is lined with hippos, crocodiles, elephants drinking at the water's edge, and an extraordinary diversity of waterbirds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
This morning, head to Kalinzu Forest Reserve for chimpanzee trekking. Walk through the forest with your guide and enjoy the fascinating encounter with the chimpanzees in their natural habitat. After the trek, begin the drive back toward Kampala with a stopover at the equator for photos. Enjoy lunch in Masaka before continuing the drive. Arrive Kampala or Entebbe in the evening, marking the end of this 3-day Queen Elizabeth wildlife safari.
