Depart Nairobi in the morning for the drive southwest to the Maasai Mara National Reserve (approximately 5–6 hours via the B3 highway). Alternatively, fly from Wilson Airport to the Talek airstrip for a shorter journey. On arrival at Prideinn Mara Camp, the team will welcome you with refreshments and a brief orientation. After checking into your river-view tent, head out for your first afternoon game drive across the open plains. The late afternoon is an excellent time to spot predators emerging from their midday rest, lions, cheetahs, and leopards are regularly sighted in this area. Return to camp at dusk for dinner served in the riverside dining area. Overnight at Prideinn Mara Camp on Full Board.
An early wake-up call signals the start of your best game-viewing day. Depart camp before sunrise for the morning drive, this is when the Mara is at its most active. Follow the river corridors for hippo pods and crocodiles, scan the open grasslands for cheetahs on the hunt, and track lion prides through the acacia thickets. A bush breakfast is laid out on the plains before your guide continues deeper into the reserve. Depending on the season, your afternoon drive focuses on the Mara River crossing points, where wildebeest and zebra make their dramatic crossing during the Great Migration. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and a night under the African sky. Overnight at Prideinn Mara Camp on Full Board.
One final early morning game drive before checkout. The bush at dawn offers some of the most rewarding sightings of the entire safari, cooler temperatures mean more animal activity, and the light is ideal for photography. Return to camp for breakfast and time to pack before your guide transfers you back to Nairobi or to the Talek airstrip for your return flight. Arrive in Nairobi in the early afternoon.
