Saltlick Safari Lodge

A stilted lodge inside the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, built around a waterhole that draws wildlife right up to the rooms.

Saltlick Safari Lodge sits within the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary in Taveta County and is regarded as one of the most photographed properties in the area. The lodge is set inside the conservancy beside a waterhole that attracts wildlife close to the guest areas. Park View Rooms are raised on stilts with panoramic sanctuary views, while Water Hole Rooms look directly onto the waterhole; both room types have en-suite bathrooms, coffee/tea making facilities, a reading table and a lit wardrobe.

For safety reasons, children under the age of 5 years are not permitted at the lodge. Children age 5 to 11.99 years sharing with 1 or 2 adults: 50% of the adult sharing rate per child. Children age 5 to 11.99 years in own room (minimum 2, maximum 3): 75% of the adult sharing rate per child. Children younger than 12 years should share rooms next to parents/adults, subject to availability.
