Transfer from your Nairobi hotel to the airport for your domestic flight to Diani (Ukunda Airstrip). Arrive on Kenya's South Coast and check into your beachfront resort for two nights. A full day to explore Diani's coral reef and turquoise waters. Take a boat to Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park, one of Kenya's finest marine reserves, for snorkelling over colourful coral gardens and a dolphin-watching excursion. Alternatively, try scuba diving, glass-bottom boat rides, or simply relax on the white sand. Overnight in Diani.

Another full day on Diani's coastline at your own pace. Visit Shimba Hills National Reserve for a rare sighting of sable antelope and forest elephants, take a local fishing dhow across the bay, or book a kite surfing lesson. Sunset camel ride on the beach. Overnight in Diani.

Drive north along the South Coast and cross the Likoni Ferry over Kilindini Harbour into Mombasa. Check into your beachfront Mombasa resort for two nights. Afternoon exploring Mombasa's Old Town, Fort Jesus (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the historic carved Swahili doorways, and the lively Biashara Street spice market. Overnight in Mombasa.

A full day in Mombasa. Spend the morning exploring the city's rich Swahili and Arab heritage, the old dhow harbour, the House of Wonders, and the colourful Old Town markets. Option for a Mombasa Marine National Park boat excursion or snorkelling on the fringing reef. Evening dinner at a beachfront restaurant as the dhows sail home. Overnight in Mombasa.

Drive west from Mombasa into Tsavo East National Park, a vast semi-arid wilderness known for its red-dusted elephants and the Galana River. Afternoon game drive through open acacia savannah, spotting lions, leopards, buffalos, and the iconic Tsavo elephants whose reddish hue comes from rolling in the park's laterite soil. Overnight in Tsavo East on full board.

Drive west through the Tsavo ecosystem into Tsavo West National Park, a dramatically different landscape of ancient volcanic lava flows, highland forests, and the celebrated Mzima Springs. Visit this natural oasis where crystal-clear spring water, filtered through Kilimanjaro's underground lava channels, fills a pool alive with hippos, crocodiles, and schools of barbel fish visible through an underwater viewing chamber. Overnight in Tsavo West on full board.

Drive west from Tsavo through the Chyulu Hills to Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive with the first spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the plains. Watch vast elephant herds moving against the mountain backdrop in the golden afternoon light, one of the most iconic wildlife images in all of Africa. Overnight in Amboseli on full board.

After a final morning game drive in Amboseli, your best chance for Kilimanjaro at sunrise with elephants in the foreground, drive back to Nairobi. Arrive in the city for a late lunch, then transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international connection, or check into a Nairobi hotel for one final night.
