This 9-day, 8-night Kenya safari and beach package begins in Nairobi and ends with a beach holiday on the white sandy shores of Diani. Begin your journey amongst the towering elephant herds of Amboseli, set against the iconic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. From there, proceed into the vast grasslands of Tsavo, home to the famous red elephants of Tsavo East and the dramatic volcanic landscape of Tsavo West, once home to the legendary Man-Eaters of Tsavo. Your adventure concludes with three relaxed nights at the turquoise waters of Diani Beach. Accommodation ranges from mid-range to luxury depending on the option you select. Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to your Nairobi hotel. Meet your driver/guide for a welcome briefing and overview of the safari ahead. Overnight in Nairobi on full board.
After breakfast, drive south from Nairobi through the Maasai plains to Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive in one of Africa's most iconic parks, famous for massive elephant herds silhouetted against the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro. Lions, cheetahs, wildebeest, and over 400 bird species share this remarkable landscape. Overnight in Amboseli on full board.
Devote the entire day to Amboseli on morning and afternoon game drives. The park's swamps fed by underground streams from Kilimanjaro support enormous elephant herds and create a lush oasis in the dry savannah. Dawn in Amboseli, with Kilimanjaro glowing gold and elephants moving across the plain, is one of Africa's most photographed moments. Overnight in Amboseli on full board.
After a morning game drive, drive east through the dramatic Chyulu Hills into Tsavo West National Park. Tsavo West's volcanic landscape, ancient lava flows, highland forests, and the crystal-clear Mzima Springs, creates a strikingly different atmosphere. Visit Mzima Springs, where hippos, crocodiles, and large fish can be observed through an underwater viewing chamber. Afternoon game drive in the park. Overnight in Tsavo West on full board.
Drive east through the Tsavo ecosystem into Tsavo East National Park, one of Africa's largest protected areas, known for its semi-arid savannah and the iconic red-dusted elephants that have rolled in the park's laterite soil. Game drives along the Galana River reveal lions, leopards, buffalos, and exceptional birdlife. Overnight in Tsavo East on full board.
After a final morning game drive in Tsavo East, drive southeast to the Kenyan coast and the beautiful white-sand beaches of Diani, approximately 2 hours. After the dust and drama of the safari, the warm Indian Ocean and swaying palm trees are a perfect contrast. Check into your beachfront resort and spend the evening relaxing by the sea. A full leisure day on Diani Beach, consistently rated one of Africa's finest beaches. Options include snorkelling over the coral reef, a boat trip to Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park for dolphin watching, a glass-bottom boat ride, or simply relaxing at the pool. Diani's turquoise waters and colourful coral gardens make it an excellent diving destination. Overnight in Diani.
A second full day to explore Diani's coastline at your own pace. Take a local dhow cruise to a sandbar, visit Shimba Hills National Reserve for a rare sighting of sable antelope and forest elephants, or book a kite surfing lesson. Farewell dinner with your feet in the sand. Overnight in Diani.
After a final beach breakfast, transfer to Ukunda Airstrip for your one-way domestic flight back to Nairobi. On arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure.
