Fly from Nairobi to Angama Mara Airfield or Kichwa Tembo Airstrip, with a private transfer to the lodge on arrival. Perched on the edge of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Angama Mara delivers one of the most dramatic first views in East Africa, the Mara stretching out below you in every direction. Settle into your suite, meet your guide, and take in the surroundings before an afternoon safari into the Mara Triangle. Sundowners on the escarpment, dinner at the lodge.
Early morning game drive into the Mara Triangle, home to some of the highest wildlife densities in Africa and, during migration season, the famous wildebeest river crossings. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Mid-morning visit to the on-site shamba, Angama's working vegetable garden that supplies the kitchen with fresh produce. Learn about their sustainable farming practices and, if the season allows, join the honey harvesting experience. Afternoon game drive or guided walking safari on the Rift Valley escarpment. Sundowners with views across the Mara. Dinner at the lodge, all meals prepared using home-grown and locally sourced ingredients.
Another full day with your guide, flexible to follow the wildlife and your interests. Morning game drive, with the possibility of visiting Kimana Sanctuary or extending into the wider Mara ecosystem.
