Drive south from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. After a morning game drive in Amboseli, drive southeast through the border town of Namanga and cross into Tanzania. Continue to the charming highland town of Arusha, gateway to Tanzania's northern safari circuit. Enjoy an Arusha city tour including the Clock Tower and Cultural Heritage Centre. Drive west from Arusha through the fertile foothills of Mount Meru to Lake Manyara National Park. Drive up through the crater highlands to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world's largest intact volcanic calderas. Descend into the crater floor for an afternoon game drive through this natural wildlife enclosure.
